Peek-a-Boo Baby Blanket was the inspiration for a dear friends niece's first child. The blanket was knit with The Fiber Seed Sprout DK yarn in color Glow Worm.
After only using 812 yards of the 1125 yards purchased, I found myself wanting to take advantage of the remaining 313 yards.....you know, complete the gift with some additional hand-knitted goodies...why not, I've got the yarn.
This is one of those diversions, that gets me in my TIME MANAGEMENT trouble. But why not, I know the mom-to-be and the family....and what the heck.
I found a very easy sweet baby cardigan that I made in a 3 - 6 month size that was fairly quick to knit.
I think it turned out super cute and looks great with the Peek-a-Boo Baby Blanket. This sweater only used 192 yards.
I still have 121 yards to play with...... hmmmm.....
So then I thought it had to have some little shoes to match.
Can you just scream!!!! These are so darn cute!!!! The best part they took less that an hour to make.
Even though I still have more yarn left, I have got to get back on track.....
Well sort of.... I kind of caught the baby-bug. Partially because my daughter is expecting in January. She wants to know if its a boy or a girl....so I'm holding out on starting on any projects for her until I know, right?
In the meantime, I found a fun striped mercerized cotton DK weight yarn that I'm playing around with.....I'm working on a 3 - 6 mo little dress. Not sure who its for or when it will get finished, but having fun with the baby-bug.....hahaha
Get Back on Track.......must get back to knitting a new lace wrap design (you know these are my favorites) that was inspired by the interesting daisy photos that were posted a few weeks ago. Will share more later....stay tuned, news at 11....
Until next time......
Happy Knitting!
