Sometimes the number of gifts we're able to knit, fall short of what we had planned to knit.. It happens....life can absolutely get in the way, for a whole host of reasons.
What to do? You don't want to leave anyone out, right?......but the size and shape of the gift can certainly be altered.
For instance, a pair of socks can easily be changed into a hat. And if you are really in a pinch, the hat can be knit in a super bulky yarn where you can finish 1 to 2 hats per day. Really its true!
I for one, am in said "pinch"........ and the Socks on my list are definitely turning into HATS.
For the most part, hats take less time to knit and appreciated just as much.
Some of my favorite super quick hats are available on Ravelry.com
The Vermonter Hat by Abi Gregorio
Super Cat Hat by Destiny Meyer
If you don't need to churn out more than two a day, here are some of my favorites that use a worsted weight yarn.....
Declan's Hat by Samantha Kirby
Christian's Hat by Agnes Kutas - Keresztes
Wishing you and yours all the best on completing your holiday knitting.
More soon on gift updates......
Happy Knitting!
