Its so true.... at least for me.
A luxurious pashmina is a perfect go-to fashion accessory for any season, event or occasion... it can 'tszuj' up any outfit, from the little black dress to denim jeans or khaki pants. Wear it as a wrap, as a scarf or even draped around the neck like a cowl. It can extend your wardrobe with an elegant finishing touch. It dresses up any outfit.
I have proof.... true story.... I was wearing a pair of jeans with a plain black knit top (nothing fancy) and my very own Triangulated Shift Lace Wrap wrapped around my shoulders, my little man, Xander, says to me that "Wow, you look nice, you are a Fancy Woman". Funny right? It made me laugh out loud. You just can't make this stuff up.
The Triangulated Shift Lace Wrap is a graceful graphic triangular pattern with a shifting eyelet pattern giving playful movement. It was knit with The Verdant Gryphon Hand-Dyed Yarns Mithril Lace-weight yarn, 100% Merino wool, 4 oz., 750 yards, in color "Born in Rain". Wrap uses between 1200 - 1400 yards depending on length, used 2 hanks.
I really loved working with Mithril Lace, it has great stitch definition and blocks beautifully. Mithril also holds its crisp block. Love, love, love this yarn.
I like to buy my hand-dyed yarns in person, for this reason.....When buying more than one hank, I like to select two hanks as close in color as possible. I have gotten burned by this when buying online. In the past, I have purchased Verdant Gryphon Yarns at Stitches Midwest. But sadly, she didn't attend this year, I hope she returns next year or comes to a venue in the Chicagoland area.
