I really enjoy knitting baby blankets. There is something inherently sweet about it. Perhaps its just the thought of a little one on the way.
Secret Garden Baby Blanket is a different departure for me. Typically, I tend to go for a more graphic approach, but this time I went for a more Vintage-y Victorian flair, purely inspired my the YARN by BunnyBadger Fibers. The sweeping bunting horizontal ridges are crowned with sweet button, then graced with an eyelet lace tree motif inbetween the buntings. .
BunnyBadger Fibers Le Plump is a beautiful Hand-Dyed 8-ply DK weight of 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 270 yards/ 100 grams is spun with a high twist. It has great stitch definition and the colorway, Ballet Slipper, has a mottled effect. So pretty!!!!
BunnyBadger Fibers can be found on www.Etsy.com as The Bunny Badger.
Any yarn weight can be used with this pattern by adjusting needle size. Adjusting pattern repeat multiples will give you the size you desire, whether is for a baby blanket or a full sized adult afghan or throw.
The Secret Garden Baby Blanket Pattern is available for purchase on www.Ravelry.com or can be purchased through your local yarn store if they participate in Ravelry LYS Program.
