The silk wrap, named after the Chicago Lyric Opera, is coming alone nicely, in fact I have sights on publishing it sometime this week. But.......
I just can't leave well enough alone.
I am always facinated how different yarns react to different stitch patterns or stitch structures.......sooo....I experimented by testing the stitch pattern in Lux Lace by Grinning Gargoyle, 875 yards, 100 grams of 70% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk and 10% Cashmere,in the color Signature Red....its lovely!
The yarn and the stitch pattern work great together.
The fiber blend of the Lux Lace gives me reason to believe that the Lyric stitch pattern will work great in most any animal fiber blend yarn. In addition, its going to look great with hand dyed multi-colors, tonals and solid color ways.
With 875 yards, I decided to make it a scarf size.
Happy Knitting!
