There is something cozy, yet satisfying about knitting baby blankets.
Baby Blankets are rather new for me, I think I avoided them in the past because of the word "blanket"......it sounds so large and dare I say, time consuming. Which is really quite funny now, after knitting lace wraps, time consuming takes on a whole new definition. Now knitting a baby blanket seems like a quick diversion.....it truly is all relative, isn't it?
As baby blankets go, I especially like when a pattern is reversible or at least reverses to another pattern.
Twinkle of my Eye Baby Blanket Pattern is recently published and available on www.ravelry.com. A reversible diamond motif surrounded by moss stitch gives this pattern a textural dimension.
Its knit using my favorite yarn for baby blankets, Cascade 220 Superwash Sport, a 100% superwash Merino Wool that is super soft for baby and easy care for Mom in 62 beautiful colors. Twinkle of My Eye was knit in Banana Cream (color 1915), I used 8 hanks on a US#6 or 4mm needle. Each hank has 136.5 yards or 125 meters.
Love knitting baby blankets so much, I am ready to start another......hmmm..... what color should I choose......stay tuned!
Happy Knitting!
