Bright green is a color that has been in the couture fashion scene for years. This color green has lots of names, some call it emerald or kelly or peapod; I call it, bright green.
Over the past year, it has finally emerged into the mainstream fashion arena.
For me, I am smitten with the color, its so bright, so lively, so happy. But I can't say that I was daring enough to wear it. Until now.....
This summer, Pandora came out with a new Murano Glass Charm in Green. In the bright green I love. It spoke to me......
And as everyone knows a bracelet is the perfect reason to knit a new lace scarf or wrap. Especially if..... its happy green.
When I found the perfect color of green yarn, I was surprised how many individuals don't see this green the same way I do. The reactions/comments have been......"its so bright"..... "perfect for Christmas/St. Paddy's Day"....... "what are you going to make with that". But I didn't care, I still liked it and can't wait to wear it.
The yarn that I found was Vice Yarn Sinful Singles in the color, The O.Z. (great name, right?), its a single ply fingering weight, 100% Superwash Merino, 400 yards, I bought 2 hanks. It matches my bracelet beautifully.
More soon.....
Happy Knitting!
