A new year wish:
The first is health because without it, nothing else truly matters. To all who are ill, may you gain strength and vitality every day. May the pains lessen and cease. May the limitations diminish. May the days ahead gain light instead of darkness. May you find vibrancy in your self again.
The second is love, flowing both to and from you. May you find succor and joy from the care of others. May you feel valued and vital to others and from them, as well. May you know companionship. May you be moved to your soul by people, places, things and ideas. May you find your partners or find their even greater values. May you always feel connected. May you be held when you need it most.
The third is success. May there always be challenges before you - challenges that inspire and perhaps even frighten or demand of you. And may you have the skills and joys of conquering them all. That is success. May you dream, and have the chance to make those dreams real. May you have goals and claim them. May you feel empowered and important and full of purpose. May you have pride in all you accomplish. May you accomplish much.
The fourth is joy. There are many who have health, love and success but are joyless. They cannot appreciate anything. May you be able to see the good that constantly flows around you. May you be able to appreciate the smallest of miracles and creations. May you see potential and possibilities. May you laugh - loud and long and often. May your joyous energy lighten the load of all you meet. May you be a light.
The fifth is peace. May violence never touch you or those you care for most. May you find ways to diffuse and deflect anger and jealousy. May you live in balance with the world around you in all its infinite variety. May you see the connections between us all, rather than the reasons for division. May you feel the possibilities of God. May you rest at the end of each day, untroubled and content. May you always wake with hope and faith.
May 2013 be filled with random acts of kindness and charity. May we worry and care for each other just a little bit more than last year. May we believe the best of times are ahead -- and may we be right.
Happy new year, friends. Share this with whomever you think would like it.
